With the enormous number of opportunities available for the small
businesses community to sell its products and services to the federal
government, many companies are either expanding their business in the
federal sector or attempting to enter this market. At last official
count by the government, there are $535 Billion reasons why this is a
good idea. So why do the vast majority of firms either not realize their
full potential or never even engage with this lucrative sector
business?
The cause can be best described as a confusing combination of rules
that you must follow, regulations that you must obey, positioning and
partnering that you must skillfully and strategically execute and most
of all patience to endure until you achieve that must heralded contract
award.
The problem is there is no set way to accomplish the goal of
generating a steady stream of federal government contact awards. And,
there is no reference book or site to go to that will fully equip you
will a step by step approach to growing your firm. There are few people
that you can depend on and/or trust to help you; yet an increasing
number of opportunities avail in all sectors of the federal government
space.
So what do you do as a small business to overcome these obstacles? More to come…..
